Before Po-blogging the Sox and Cardinals

Friday will be my off day before I begin po-blogging the World Series. It's been an interesting exercise in poetry and sportswriting. I've enjoyed the pressure of writing a poem in less than one hour's time, and although not each poem may be solid (some may argue none were), the practice itself has been worthwhile. As for sportswriting, I found myself becoming more objective about the games, albeit in a fanatical way: after the game I immediately began thinking of the po-blogging.

And for those of you out there who have some interest in reading other blogs on the Sox, check in on Boston Common for a readers digest of that and all things Boston.

Finally, bring on the Cardinals. Yes, the Sox lost to them in 1946 and 1967, but, as they say, the third times the charm.

This space will return to normal broadcasting on Novemeber 2 (at the latest) just in time for that little thing called the election. BTW, I really needed this diversion from the madness and anxiety of politics.
