Grand Canyon, Earth
The last time I surveyed Grand Canyon,
clouds were parting, opening
a moment for the sun to light
the layers of that surgically-
exposed creation with its healing
touch. Like everything alive,
it’s just an open nerve. Aware,
you should be careful how you view it.
