I know that Skyler wants
to draft another poem
concerning dragonflies.
They’ve opened up his eyes
to all that universe
behind the wall of things
he’s seen since God knows when
that’s made him think he doesn’t

Instead of new construction
I know dragonflies.
Instead of interstates
descending through the suburbs
I see dragonflies.
