Tsi'yone ("Flying") (Sia) : Edward S. Curtis

Tsi'yone ("Flying") (Sia)

There’s no flight of airy
fancy when making timeless
pottery. It’s grounded
in clay. Even the potter
kneels upon the solid
gravity of earth
to work the coil around
her faith in open space
and grace of openings.
