Killing God with a Magic Bullet

It’s not believing in some god
that’s fundamentally absurd
but it’s believing blindly that
some scientific theory can
explain the unexplainable.
At least the first inserts an unknown
entity to fill the largely
unavoidable omission.
But the second will insist
there’s nothing else but random strands
of matter in this universe
that somehow inexplicably
evolved to this intelligence
beginning with that first big bang.
