Seventeen Lines Create One Poem
There’s one wisdom in the world
that rises time to time in one
diviner or another speaking
to the truth that we are one
with God the universe when wide
awake, but we are fast asleep
instead. Yet soon enough religion
turns that message to belief
creating some duality
of supernatural divide
where nothing of the sort exists.
And nightmare sleep persists. Until
awakening in time to wisdom
underlying everything
including all religions and
their atheistic codependents—
we lighten to our independence!
