Pre-ALCS Red Sox Poetry Report

The replay begins tonight. I’ve decided to throw caution to the wind and root for the Sox like it’s 1999, no, 1918. I even bought a regular guy’s Red Sox cap for the first time since 75. You might see a bit of baseball poetry in the coming days so I hope you can bear with me. But in the famous words of Curt Schilling: “Why not us?”
Pre-ALCS Boston Weather Report

The wind is throwing wicked curves
that drop like leaves. In bas relief,
low clouds are spitting Gaylord Perry
fastballs. But look, I’ve got no beef
if weather’s wine-blue in New York.
With four the Sox will pop that cork.

Update: see my complete Red Sox ALCS/World Series chapblog here.
