Fleshing out 'The First Poets': Orpheus

This weekend I started reading Michel Schmidt’s 'The First Poets'. Here’s the NYT review by Camille Paglia.

My only note to date on the book: Schmidt is a classical critic, in that his criticism is a work of art in itself.

For my own entertainment and pleasure, and maybe yours, as I read each chapter, I will link to various sites concerning that poet. The first is Orpheus.
