So many schools of poetry. It’s hard to keep up. Must be hard to choose. And such a plethora of poetics concerning each and every one. Oh my. At times I think that these poetics have become the thing. The only real thing. The poetic thing. The verse is mere example. Kind of redundant as well.
And so I find here today The New Efficiency. It does away with such redundant redundancy. It’s a poetics of no poetry. Just the school ma’am. Every work is a new one and its narrative (or lack of one) its poetics. But keep it simple. And when it’s done, on to the next. That’s it.
